Dr. Michael
Cotter was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He attended Mount St.
Michael Academy where he played Football and Baseball. He then attended St.
Johns University where he continued to play Football while double majoring in
Biology and Communications.
Following graduation from St. John’s University, Dr. Cotter returned to Mount
St. Michael Academy where he taught full time as a Biology and Health Teacher
while simultaneously coaching Varsity Football and Junior Varsity Baseball.
After one year at Mt St Michael Academy, Dr. Cotter applied and was accepted at
New York University College of Dentistry. Throughout his all four years of
training he was elected and served as class President.

Following graduation from Dental School, Dr. Cotter trained in General
Dentistry for one year at Montefiore Dental Department at Jacobi Hospital.
While in his General Practice Residency, Dr. Cotter was accepted into New York
University’s College of Dentistry Post-Graduate Endodontic Program. Dr. Cotter
completed his Endodontic post-graduate training in May of 2003.
Following completion of his Endodontic Post-Graduate training, Dr. Cotter was
employed part time in New Haven Conn., where he preformed Endodontics three
days a week while building an Endodontic Practice 2 days a week in Mamaroneck,
New York.
On December 4, 2003 Dr. Cotter opened the doors to his new Endodontic Office at
1600 Harrison Ave. Mamaroneck, NY 10543. He maintains a full time practice here
while working part time at Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Anya Kent is originally from
Pennsylvania and received her B.S. in Biology from Pennsylvania State
University. Her father is a pediatric dentist in Allentown, PA. Following in
her father’s footsteps, Dr. Kent pursued dental school, graduating from New
York University College of Dentistry in 1999.
After graduation, she trained at the Los Angeles Veteran’s Administration
Hospital, completing a one year general practice residency. Following this year
of training she returned to New York City for a second year general practice
residency at the Manhattan Veteran’s Administration Hospital before deciding on
the specialty of endodontics.
Dr. Kent was accepted to the Manhattan Veteran’s Administration Hospital
post-graduate endodontic residency, completing this training in June 2003.
Dr. Kent has worked steadily for practices in Manhattan and New Jersey. She
most recently moved to Westchester where she now permanently resides.
Dr. Kent and Dr. Cotter met in dental school, and participated in research
while pursuing their endodontic training. Dr. Kent is delighted to have
reconnected with Dr. Cotter and is now an associate in his practice in
Mamaroneck, NY.
